Ace B8gie
Chicago's South Side native, ACE B8gie, began rapping at the tender age of 8 and released his debut project, Time is an ILLusion, in 2010 after working on his craft as a dedicated student of hip-hop. Before recording a solo project, ACE appeared on FOC presents It's A Done Deal compilation in 2008 alongside his Focused On Cash cohorts. In 2009, he was featured on The Stimulus Package mixtape by DJ Drama and DJ MoonDawg (Chicago's 107.5 WGCI). ACE then took his talents beyond the Windy City, sharing the bill with Curren$y on 2010's Smokers Club Tour in Champaign, IL. B8gie and crew returned in 2011 with the DJ Victoriouz hosted FOC presents Spectacular Moments, once again proving their strength in numbers. 2012 found ACE reuniting with DJ MoonDawg to release his sophomore project, Survival of the FOCused, as well as graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign shortly thereafter. Later that year, ACE partnered with online music meccaDJBooth.net to deliver Endorphin Extended Play (#EndoEP), the first installment of his #Crazy8s EP series. Quality consistency, dynamic lyricism, and soulful showmanship have allowed B8gie to gain traction in a competitive field of talent in Chicago as well as nationwide. He took to a national platform most recently at the 2014 South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin, TX, performing his smash single, “Fuck A Plan B”, produced by Bobby Johnson.
The stage is set and the future is bright for ACE B8gie, as he continues the #Crazy8s series with this summer’s The B8gie Foo’ Blues.
